I feel privileged to have had a truly wonderful birth experience with special thanks to my amazing Doula Marie-Claire. During my pregnancy I had read about painless childbirth and I felt strongly about having a natural and drug free birth in the comfort of my own home. It took me a while to find a Doula that I clicked with, when I spoke to MC I instantly knew I wanted her as my Doula.

Being my first pregnancy I had no idea what to expect and was very nervous about the birth, but MC gave me the reassurance, encouragement and confidence to have my baby at home. I’m so glad that I did. I feel lucky that MC was with me when my waters broke as she guided me all the way through. I truly believe that without MC I would not have had the magical drug free and pain free birth I experienced. I am so blessed that I had MC with me she is amazing at what she does and I could not recommend her enough.

Having experienced a traumatic C-section first childbirth, I wanted to support my wife having the natural birth she dreamed of the second time around.

Finding the right doula to help with this was essential. From her website and an initial meeting, I was struck by MC’s many talents and her warmth. When we decided to work with her I found the pre-birth meetings helpful. We built a good relationship so she was by no means a stranger when labour started.

On the day our son decided to come MC was there when we needed her, primarily supporting my wife and enabling me to properly experience the most incredible life event.

Marie-Claire is warm, knowledgeable and flexible – she tailored her services to our needs. We felt fully supported during my pregnancy and labour. Antenatally, she answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns. I went into labour feeling positive and prepared. While I was in labour, Marie-Claire knew instinctively how to interact with me – she was a great calming force, and chose the perfect time to travel to the birth centre for delivery.The midwives were impressed that I arrived fully dilated and ready to push!

In addition to her doula services, I would also highly recommend Marie-Claire’s massage services. I thoroughly enjoyed our antenatal massage sessions and found them to be a great compliment to our antenatal meetings.

As my doula MC played a very important role in my life. I had a difficult hospitalised birth with my daughter and SO wanted my second birth to be different. but I very much doubted it could be. I knew I needed support and good preparation.

Working with MC was the best decision I could have made. She was a pillar of strength and peace in the lead up to my labour. She helped both my husband and I stay balanced and worked with us on quite a deep energetic level. When my contractions started my first thought was “thank God we’ve got MC.”

By the time I arrived in hospital I was fully dilated and within an hour I was cuddling my son. It was a peaceful intervention-free natural birth. MC was by my side throughout, just as I wanted her to be – reassuring me, mopping my brow, offering her wisdom – keeping me grounded and confident in my ability to birth naturally. I felt a strong connection between us – that MC intuitively knew what I needed when I couldn’t quite express it. It was one of the best experiences of my life and I can genuinely say this is due to MC’s support.
